The Unipart Digital Management System (UDES) enhancement project was focused on rebranding and developing new features for Unipart’s existing Digital Warehouse Management System. The primary objective was to create a more intuitive and accessible tool that would enable users to effectively manage and control daily warehouse operations, thereby optimising overall efficiency. The redesign emphasised usability, accessibility, and a cohesive corporate identity that aligns with Unipart's brand values.
Spearheaded the design and development of the UDES, ensuring that the user interface was simple, intuitive, and aligned with best practices in usability and accessibility. I was responsible for creating a seamless experience that allowed users to optimise every aspect of warehouse operations.
I served as the Scrum Master, facilitating agile methodologies throughout the project. This included leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.
Acted as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance on UX design principles, agile processes, and professional development. I helped foster a collaborative environment where team members could grow and contribute effectively.
Ensured that the UDES redesign was consistent with Unipart’s corporate identity. This involved aligning the design with Unipart’s brand guidelines and reinforcing the company’s values through visual and interaction design choices.
Conducted extensive research, including competitive benchmarking and user surveys, to understand the needs and challenges of warehouse management professionals. This research guided the design decisions and ensured that the final product was aligned with user expectations.
Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes for desktop use, allowing stakeholders and users to interact with the new design before full development. These prototypes were crucial for testing concepts and gathering feedback during the iterative design process.
Led user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions to validate the usability and functionality of the UDES enhancements. Feedback from these sessions was used to make final adjustments, ensuring that the product met user needs and expectations.
